India Reports Over 1,000 Active Covid-19 Cases

India is experiencing a slight uptick in active Covid-19 cases, with over 1,000 cases currently reported nationwide, according to the Union health ministry’s Covid-19 portal. This increase comes after a period of relatively low case numbers.

Kerala, Maharashtra, and Delhi Lead in Active Cases

Kerala continues to have the highest number of active cases at 430, followed by Maharashtra with 209 and Delhi with 104. Karnataka has reported 47 active cases. On a positive note, several states, including Andaman and Nicobar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir, have no active Covid-19 cases currently.

The nationwide discharge tally stands at 4,45,11,545, while there have been 5,33,673 fatalities from the virus.
