Rapper Vedan Arrested for Wearing Tiger Tooth Pendant

Rapper Vedan in Trouble Over Tiger Tooth Pendant
Popular rapper Hirandas Murali, known as Vedan, has been arrested by the Forest Department in Kerala for wearing a pendant containing a tiger tooth. The arrest comes after Vedan was recently released on bail in a separate ganja case.
Pendant’s Origin Sparks Controversy
Vedan claimed the pendant was a gift from a fan, but the Forest Department confirmed its authenticity through laboratory tests in Hyderabad. He now faces charges related to hunting and illegal possession of wildlife articles.
Previous Arrest and the Ganja Case
Vedan’s arrest stems from a narcotics raid at his rented apartment in Ernakulam. Along with eight others, including members of his band, he was arrested for possession of 6 grams of ganja. This incident comes on the heels of the arrest of renowned Malayalam directors Khalid Rahman, Ashraf Hamsa, and their friend Shalif Mohammed for possessing hybrid ganja.
Vedan’s Musical Style and Background
Vedan, a native of Thrissur, is known for his songs that often explore subaltern themes. The rapper’s recent legal troubles have cast a shadow over his musical career.
