Mumbai Braces for Early Monsoon: 5 Rescued After Hills Turn Dangerous

Mumbai is experiencing its earliest monsoon arrival since 1950, according to weather reports. The city is already feeling the impact with heavy rainfall leading to dangerous conditions in some areas.

Dramatic Rescue on Kharghar Hills

In a heart-stopping incident, five young men were rescued from the Kharghar hills after becoming trapped by rising floodwater. The group, originally from Sion Koliwada, had ventured into the hills behind the Kharghar Golf Course for a walk. However, the heavy rains drastically increased the flow of a waterfall, cutting off their escape route.

Luckily, quick-thinking fire department personnel from Kharghar came to the rescue. Using ropes, they successfully navigated the treacherous terrain and brought the young men to safety.
