Salman Khan’s New Project: A War Film Focused on the Galwan Valley

Salman Khan is known for his blockbuster films, but lately, he hasn’t been having the best run at the box office. Hits like ‘Tiger 3’ and ‘Kiisi Ka Bhai Kiisi Ki Jaan’ have been overshadowed by some flops. This has led to some changes in his upcoming projects.

Initially, Salman was supposed to work with director Atlee on a big-budget film. However, the project got shelved due to financial concerns. Now, it seems Salman is looking at a completely different kind of film.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Salman is in talks with director Apoorva Lakhia for a war film set against the backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley clash. The film will reportedly be based on the book ‘India’s Most Fearless 3’ which Apoorva has already acquired the rights to.

A source close to the project revealed, “Salman and Apoorva had a great meeting and really connected over the script. Salman was really impressed by the idea and is seriously considering taking on this role. He sees it as a great follow-up to his previous military-themed film, ‘Sikandar’.”

The source added, “This film will be a departure for both Salman and Apoorva. Both of them are coming off recent projects that didn’t perform as well as expected. They’re both hoping this film will mark a comeback for them both.”

The film is expected to start shooting in the second half of 2025. Excitingly, it will feature four other talented actors alongside Salman Khan.

A New Direction for Salman Khan

This potential project marks a significant shift for Salman Khan. He’s known for his action-packed masala films, but this war film promises a more serious and intense role.
