Sikandar Continues to Spark Criticism on Netflix

Salman Khan’s film ‘Sikandar’ has once again found itself in the hot seat after its release on Netflix. While the movie premiered in theaters back in March, the online premiere hasn’t changed the narrative surrounding the film, with viewers continuing to criticize its storyline and acting.

Social media has been flooded with comments expressing disappointment and frustration. Many questioned the film’s purpose, with some even suggesting Salman Khan should retire from acting.

Comparisons to Shah Rukh Khan’s Work

One particularly noteworthy trend has been the comparison of ‘Sikandar’ to Shah Rukh Khan’s recent action films. Fans pointed out the noticeable improvement in SRK’s action sequences and urged Salman Khan to learn from his fellow Bollywood superstar.

Some users even went as far as calling ‘Sikandar’ a “horror comedy” and criticizing its direction, particularly comparing it unfavorably to the work of South Indian director A.R. Murugadoss.

A Mixed Reception

Despite the overwhelming negativity, there were a few voices in Salman Khan’s defense. Some fans argued that ‘Sikandar’ was better than other recent releases, like ‘Gamechanger’ or ‘Indian 2,’ and found it to be watchable despite its flaws.

About the Film

‘Sikandar’ tells the story of Sanjay Rajkot, a man who takes on a corrupt politician, ultimately changing his life. The film, directed by A.R. Murugadoss, also features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj.

While the film managed to gross over ₹200 crore worldwide, it was still considered a box office underperformer based on Salman Khan’s usual standards.
