Hero Vida VX2: An Affordable Electric Scooter is Coming!

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch a new, more affordable electric scooter under its Vida brand. Dubbed the VX2, it’s set to hit the market on July 1, 2025, and early spy shots have given us a sneak peek at what to expect.

Rebadged Vida Z

The VX2 isn’t a completely new scooter; it appears to be a rebadged version of the Vida Z, which was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. This makes sense, as Hero is looking to expand its electric scooter lineup with a more budget-friendly option.

Spied Undisguised

Unveiled in a matte yellow shade, the VX2 has been spotted completely undisguised at showrooms. It sports the VX2 badge on the side panels, along with a ‘Plus’ badge, hinting at multiple variants. Following the Vida V2 lineup, we can speculate that the VX2 will be offered in Lite, Plus, and Pro versions.

What We Know So Far

While pricing hasn’t been officially confirmed, the VX2 is expected to start around Rs 65,000 (Ex-showroom), making it a very attractive option for budget-conscious buyers. Visually, it shares some features with the Vida V2, including LED projector headlights, LED tail lights, LED sequential turn indicators, and 12-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. However, it appears to lack the smart key with keyless go feature found in the V2. The instrument screen is also smaller, suggesting a less premium offering.

Despite the less premium features, the VX2 boasts an extensive switchgear with a joystick, hinting that it will offer a decent riding experience. It also likely shares the same removable battery architecture as the Vida V2, with battery packs ranging from 2.2 kWh to 3.9 kWh, allowing for a claimed IDC range of up to 165 km.

Launch Date
