RCB’s Jitesh Sharma Survives Mankad Scare, Leads Team to Victory

Kohli Loses Cool Over Mankad Attempt
There was drama in the IPL on Tuesday as Lucknow Super Giants bowler Digvesh Rathi attempted to run out Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Jitesh Sharma at the non-striker’s end. Rathi came close to dismissing Jitesh twice in a tense 17th over, but both times the umpires intervened. The first attempt was deemed a backfoot no-ball, and the second was ruled not out because of Rathi’s release point.
According to reports, RCB’s senior batter Virat Kohli was visibly upset with Rathi’s actions, nearly throwing a bottle in the dressing room.
Jitesh’s Heroics Power RCB to Victory
Despite the controversial moment, Jitesh Sharma went on to lead RCB to a six-wicket victory over LSG in Qualifier 1. He remained unbeaten on 85 runs off just 33 balls, smashing eight fours and six sixes. Alongside Mayank Agarwal’s 41 off 23 balls, Jitesh and Agarwal stitched together a match-winning 107-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
RCB chased down a daunting target of 228 with eight balls to spare, securing their second place on the points table.
Earlier, LSG posted a massive total of 227/3 in their final game of the season, thanks to a sensational century from Rishabh Pant (100 off 54 balls).
