Apple fans, mark your calendars! Word on the street is that the iPhone 17 series is set to drop in September 2025.
Four New iPhones on the Way
This year, Apple is rumored to release four new models: the standard iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro, the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and a brand-new addition – the iPhone 17 Air.
A Smoother Viewing Experience
One of the biggest upgrades across the entire lineup is a 120Hz ProMotion display. This means smoother scrolling and animations, a feature previously only available on the Pro models. And get this – it looks like all models will support Always-On Display thanks to LTPO OLED technology.
Design: Aluminum is Back
Say goodbye to titanium frames! The iPhone 17 series is expected to ditch the titanium found on the iPhone 15 and 16 Pro models in favor of aluminum, making it a slightly more eco-friendly option. The iPhone 17 Air might be an exception, potentially featuring a titanium-aluminum hybrid.
The camera bump is also getting a makeover. Leaks suggest Apple is moving away from the current squircle shape and opting for a rectangular module, also made of aluminum.
Camera Upgrades: More Pixels, More Power
Get ready for some serious selfie improvements! All iPhone 17 models are rumored to have a 24MP front-facing camera, a significant bump from the 12MP found on current models.
On the back, the Pro Max is expected to feature a 48MP telephoto lens with advanced zoom capabilities. The iPhone 17 Air, although only having a single 48MP wide-angle lens, might use some clever computational imaging techniques to deliver impressive results.
Power Up with the A19 Chip
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Air are predicted to be powered by the A19 chip, while the Pro models will likely get the even more powerful A19 Pro chip.
Expect to see more RAM across the lineup as well, with three models potentially offering 12GB, a significant jump from the 8GB found in some current models.
Price: A Little More Expensive
Be prepared to shell out a bit more for the iPhone 17 series. Prices are expected to increase slightly compared to the previous generation.
In India, the starting price for the iPhone 17 could be around Rs 89,900, with the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max potentially hitting Rs 1,64,900. In the US, the entry-level model is likely to be priced around $899, while the Pro Max may reach $2,300. In Dubai, prices could start at AED 3,799, with the premium variant potentially reaching AED 5,399.
