Gigabyte made a splash at its Gigabyte EVENT ahead of COMPUTEX 2025, showcasing a wave of AI-centric products designed to supercharge gaming, content creation, and enterprise AI. The star of the show? The new X3D Turbo Mode 2 for motherboards, promising to unlock impressive performance gains.
X3D Turbo Mode 2: AI Takes the Wheel
Gigabyte’s AORUS X870 X3D motherboards, available in MASTER, PRO, and ELITE ICE variants, are the first to feature X3D Turbo Mode 2. This intelligent feature automatically adjusts settings based on your workload, leading to potential performance boosts of up to 35%.
For Intel platforms, the Z890 motherboard lineup gets an upgrade with Ultra Turbo Mode BIOS. This allows for up to 38% performance gains without the need for manual overclocking.
World Records and Sleek Designs
Gigabyte also showcased its commitment to pushing boundaries with the Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE motherboard, which set a world record for memory speed using AI-assisted overclocking. And for those who appreciate a clean and minimalist aesthetic, Gigabyte unveiled the STEALTH ICE series, which includes motherboards, the AORUS RTX 5090 GPU, and a reverse-connector PC case.
AI Supercomputer and Thunderbolt 5 GPU Dock
The company didn’t stop at motherboards. They introduced the AI TOP ATOM, a compact AI supercomputer powered by the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip. This powerhouse can handle AI models up to 200 billion parameters and even scale to 405 billion through clustering.
Also making an appearance is the AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX, an external GPU dock with Thunderbolt 5 connectivity. This dock delivers a staggering 3.1x performance boost over the previous generation and is designed to handle gaming, creative tasks, and AI workloads on laptops.
AI-Powered Laptops and Software
Gigabyte is bringing AI to its laptops as well. The AERO X16 and GAMING A18, both gaming and creator laptops, now feature the integrated GiMATE AI assistant. GiMATE offers handy tools like voice interaction and GiMATE Coder, a code generation assistant.
The company also announced AI TOP Utility 4.0, which supports local model inference with up to 685 billion parameters. It includes an integrated Model Converter, making it easier to deploy AI models across various devices.
AI-Enhanced Gaming Monitors
Even Gigabyte’s monitors are getting an AI boost. New gaming monitors like the M27UP and MO27Q28G now include AI visual tuning and refresh rates ranging from 200 to 500 Hz.
