Sehwag Slams Ishan Kishan’s ‘Brain Fade’ Walk-Off in SRH Loss

Sehwag Criticizes Kishan’s Decision
Former cricketer Virender Sehwag wasn’t happy with Ishan Kishan’s decision to walk off the field during a recent Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) match against Mumbai Indians (MI). Kishan, batting for SRH, seemed to miss a leg-side delivery. While the Mumbai Indians didn’t appeal, Kishan decided to leave, even though replays showed he wasn’t out.
Sehwag, commenting on Cricbuzz, called it a “brain fade” and said Kishan should have waited for the umpire’s decision. He even jokingly added, “Umpire bhi paise le rahe hai (The umpire is also getting paid for his job).” Sehwag pointed out that while walking off if an edge is clear is in the spirit of the game, Kishan’s decision didn’t make sense since there was no clear indication of an out.
MI Wins Big
The incident happened during the third over of SRH’s innings. Unfortunately for SRH, it was just one of many hurdles they faced that day. Mumbai Indians dominated the match, chasing down SRH’s score of 143 for 8 with seven wickets to spare. Rohit Sharma led the charge with his second consecutive half-century, scoring 70 runs off 46 balls.
Earlier, bowlers Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult put on a brilliant show, restricting SRH to a below-par total. They picked up crucial wickets early on, leaving SRH struggling at 13 for 4 in the fifth over.
Klaasen Shows Some Fight
Heinrich Klaasen tried his best to salvage the innings for SRH, hitting a classy 71 off 44 balls. He shared a 99-run stand with Abhinav Manohar (43 off 37 balls) to give SRH some hope, but it wasn’t enough to overcome MI’s strong performance.
