Pakistani cricketer Gull Feroza, who opens for the women’s national team, has made it clear that her team has no interest in facing India in the upcoming ODI World Cup. Feroza stated that they are aware they won’t be playing in India, and are hoping the tournament will be held in a neutral Asian location like Sri Lanka or Dubai.

This comes as no surprise given the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, that tragically killed 26 civilians.

While the Indian cricket board (BCCI) is officially hosting the World Cup in September-October, the ICC has decided to hold India-Pakistan matches at a neutral venue due to security concerns.

Pakistan, currently ranked 9th in the world, secured their spot in the World Cup during the recent qualifiers. Feroza believes the team is well-prepared for the tournament, regardless of the specific location, as they are accustomed to playing in similar Asian conditions.

Adding fuel to the fire, former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly has suggested cutting off all cricketing ties with Pakistan, although the BCCI hasn’t made a final decision on the matter.
