Neeraj Chopra, India’s javelin star, secured the second position at the prestigious Janusz Kusocinski Memorial in Chorzow, Poland. The competition saw Chopra deliver an impressive 84.14m throw in his final attempt, edging out Grenada’s Anderson Peters.

While Chopra’s throw was commendable, Germany’s Julian Weber emerged victorious with a remarkable 86.12m throw in his very first attempt. This success follows Chopra’s recent personal best of 90.23m at the Doha leg of the Diamond League Meeting last week.

This feat marked Chopra’s first throw exceeding 90 meters, but it wasn’t enough to secure the top spot in Doha, as Weber clinched victory with a stunning 91.06m throw on his final attempt. Weber’s performance also marked the first time he surpassed the 90m mark.

The Memorial Janusza Kusocinskiego, a prestigious Athletics Continental Tour Silver-level event, provided a platform for Chopra to continue his impressive journey towards new milestones.
