Dhoni Joins Elite Club: Becomes Fourth Indian to Reach 400 T20 Matches

Chennai Super Kings’ legendary captain MS Dhoni made history on Friday, becoming the fourth Indian cricketer to play an impressive 400 T20 matches. This milestone came during CSK’s IPL 2025 clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Chennai.

Dhoni now shares this incredible achievement with other cricketing giants: Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik, and Virat Kohli.

While Dhoni reaches this impressive number, Kieron Pollard reigns supreme in the overall list, having played a whopping 695 T20 matches throughout his 19-year career. Dwayne Bravo, another West Indian powerhouse, follows with 582 matches, and Shoaib Malik rounds out the top three with 557.

Among current players, Andre Russell leads the way with 546 T20 appearances, securing the fourth spot on the all-time list. Rohit Sharma holds the top spot for most capped Indian cricketers, boasting 456 appearances in the 20-over format so far.
