Renault Revamps Retail Experience with Modern ‘R Store’ in Mumbai

Renault Opens First New ‘R Store’ in Maharashtra
Renault India has just opened the doors to its first ‘new’R store’ in Maharashtra, marking a significant step in its ongoing retail transformation strategy. This modern showroom, located in Kandivali, Mumbai, is the second of its kind in the country and reflects the global brand’s commitment to enhancing the customer experience.
A Fresh Look and Feel
This new ‘new’R store’ boasts a sleek, contemporary design that embraces Renault’s ‘renault. rethink’ brand initiative. The showroom features a striking black façade and an updated logo, instantly recognizable as part of the brand’s New Visual Identity (NVI).
Stepping inside, customers are greeted by a spacious 2,100 sq. ft. area with a central vehicle display area that allows for a 360-degree view of each model. Dedicated consultation spaces and a modern customer lounge offer a comfortable and inviting environment for browsing and discussing vehicle options.
More Than Just a Makeover
Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President (Sales & Marketing) at Renault India Operations, emphasized that this transformation goes beyond aesthetics. He explained that the new store, along with the recently established Design Centre in Chennai, is a testament to Renault’s commitment to reshaping its image in India and showcasing its global design standards.
Sanjay Thakker, Chairman and Founder of Group Landmark, echoed this sentiment, stating that the new store represents a significant evolution in Renault’s retail approach. It signifies a focus on delivering a consistent and elevated customer experience that aligns with international best practices.
Streamlining the Experience
The store’s layout has been meticulously planned to optimize customer flow and engagement. After-sales and advisor zones are strategically positioned around the perimeter for easy accessibility, while the central space remains dedicated to showcasing vehicles, creating a seamless and focused browsing experience.
This innovative format aligns with Renault’s broader ‘renaulution’ strategy, which prioritizes brand development, portfolio upgrades, and the creation of a future-ready retail network.
Standing Behind Their Commitment
To further solidify its commitment to customer satisfaction, Renault India continues to offer a standard 3-year/100,000 km warranty, with the option to extend it to 7 years/unlimited km. Additionally, the company has introduced factory-fitted CNG options across select models, catering to the growing demand for fuel-efficient vehicles.
Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault S.A.S., France, manufactures its vehicles at the Oragadam facility near Chennai, which boasts an annual production capacity of 480,000 units. The company currently operates through over 350 sales and 450 service touchpoints nationwide, including over 210 ‘Workshop on Wheels’ locations, ensuring widespread accessibility and support for its customers.
