UP MP’s Convoy Attacked with Tyres, Akhilesh Yadav Slams Yogi Adityanath Government

A convoy belonging to Samajwadi Party MP Ramjilal Suman was attacked near Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday. Video footage circulating online shows a group of men hurling tyres at the police vans in the convoy, causing several vehicles to crash.
This incident has sparked outrage, with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav calling it a “criminal act” and questioning the Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Yadav took to X, formerly Twitter, to condemn the attack, stating that it was a “deep lapse of intelligence or deliberate negligence.” He also questioned if the government planned to take any action against the attackers.
According to reports, MP Suman was on his way to Bulandshahr to meet with the victims of a recent incident where an SUV ran over a group of Dalits, killing one woman named Sheela Devi. Four individuals have been arrested in connection with the Bulandshahr incident, and an FIR has been filed.
This attack comes on the heels of another tragic event in Bulandshahr, highlighting the growing concerns surrounding violence and safety in the region.
