Terrorists Trapped in Kishtwar Encounter, Army Operations Underway

Terrorists Trapped in Kishtwar Encounter
Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have reportedly trapped 3-4 terrorists following an encounter that broke out early Thursday in Kishtwar district. This intelligence-led operation comes amidst a heightened security presence in the region.
Recent Anti-Terror Operations
This encounter follows a series of anti-terror operations in South Kashmir last week. On Tuesday, an encounter took place in the Keller area of Shopian, and on Thursday, another encounter occurred in the Nadar area of Tral in Pulwama. These operations resulted in the elimination of six terrorists.
Heightened Security Following Pahalgam Attack
The intensified security measures come in the wake of the horrific Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. In that tragic incident, 26 innocent civilians were killed. As a response to this attack, security forces have been focusing their efforts on certain areas in South Kashmir.
Demolition of Terrorist Houses
In addition to these operations, authorities have also taken the step of demolishing the houses of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir as part of a broader strategy to combat terrorism.
