Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Indian opposition, made some interesting points about the changing face of democracy at the Bharat Summit in Hyderabad. He believes the old rules no longer apply.

Gandhi argued that the way politics used to work, with traditional tools and methods, just doesn’t cut it anymore. He thinks the rising power of big money, the media, and social media has changed the game completely.

According to Gandhi, we need a whole new kind of leadership for this new era. He believes the old model of a politician is outdated and needs to be replaced with something fresh.

He also talked about feeling trapped and isolated by the current political climate. He said the atmosphere is hostile towards the opposition, making it hard for the Congress party to operate freely. That’s why he decided to embark on his Bharat Jodo Yatra, a 4,000 km journey across India.

Gandhi said the yatra taught him two important things: first, that focusing on love and listening to people is more powerful than getting caught up in anger and fear. Second, he realized that politicians aren’t always listening to the people they represent.

He believes that love and affection can be powerful tools in politics, a refreshing take in today’s often divisive political landscape.
