Pakistan Threatens ‘All-Out War’ After Pahalgam Attack

Tensions are soaring between India and Pakistan after a deadly terror attack in the Indian-administered Kashmir region. Pakistan’s defense minister, Khawaja Asif, issued a stark warning that India’s response could lead to a full-blown war between the two nuclear-armed nations.

Speaking to Sky News, Asif said the world should be “worried” about the possibility of a conflict. He claimed Pakistan’s military was “prepared for any eventuality” and would respond proportionally to any Indian action. Asif’s comments came after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, killed 26 people. The attack has led to a surge in diplomatic tensions between the two countries.

Asif also made some controversial accusations, suggesting without evidence that India may have staged the attack to create a crisis in the region. He went on to say that Pakistan condemns terrorism but also blamed India for creating situations that lead to violence.

India has not yet responded to Asif’s comments. However, the Indian government has taken several steps in response to the attack, including closing a key border crossing, suspending a visa agreement with Pakistan, and reducing the number of diplomats at their respective embassies. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to punish those responsible for the attack.

This latest incident is just the latest in a long history of conflict between India and Pakistan, which have fought three wars since gaining independence in 1947.
