Operation Sindoor: India’s Army Releases Video of Targeted Strikes on Pakistan
India Responds to Terror Attack with Operation Sindoor
The Indian Army has released a new video on social media detailing Operation Sindoor, a retaliatory strike on terror targets in Pakistan. The video, shared by the Army’s Western Command, emphasizes the careful planning and execution of the operation.
A Response to Escalating Tensions
Operation Sindoor was launched on May 7th in response to a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 people. The Army personnel in the video describe the attack as a source of immense anger and a need for decisive action.
Targeting Terror Infrastructure
Operation Sindoor targeted nine terror-related sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The video highlights the destruction of enemy posts that had violated the ceasefire, emphasizing the message delivered to Pakistan.
Escalation and De-escalation
Following India’s operation, Pakistan responded with shelling across the Line of Control and attempted drone attacks. India then carried out a coordinated attack, hitting radar systems, communication centers, and airfields at 11 airbases in Pakistan. By May 10th, both countries agreed to cease hostilities.
Justice Served, A Lesson Learned?
The Army’s video concludes by stating that Operation Sindoor was not merely a revenge operation but a demonstration of justice. It also suggests that the operation served as a lesson for Pakistan, one that it had not learned for decades.
