Modi’s Strong Words: ‘Pakistan Was Forced to Kneel’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a fiery speech in Bikaner, Rajasthan, directly addressing the recent cross-border tensions with Pakistan. He asserted that India’s armed forces had inflicted a decisive blow on Pakistan, forcing them to “kneel” in response to the Pulwama attack.

Modi’s speech was particularly poignant, as Bikaner had been targeted by Pakistani aggression, and he emphasized the connection between the attack and the “sindoor” – the vermilion powder traditionally worn by Indian women – symbolizing the nation’s strength and resilience.

A New Form of Justice: No More Trade or Talks

The Prime Minister declared this not a matter of revenge, but “a new form of justice,” and vowed that India would not be intimidated by threats. He outlined three key principles guiding India’s approach to terrorism:

  • A befitting reply to every attack, with the timing and method determined by India’s armed forces.
  • India will not be deterred by threats of nuclear weapons.
  • India will consider both state and non-state actors as responsible for terrorism, effectively dismantling Pakistan’s strategy of using proxies.
  • Modi also announced that there would be no further trade or diplomatic engagement with Pakistan until they cease their support for terrorism.

    India’s Resolve: Strong and Unwavering

In a powerful message to Pakistan, Modi stated: “Playing with the blood of Indians will prove costly to Pakistan. This is Bharat’s resolve, and no power in the world can sway us away from this resolve.” He further underscored India’s commitment to national security and prosperity, emphasizing the need for a strong and united nation.

Modi concluded his speech by referencing his previous remarks in Rajasthan in February 2019, when he had vowed to protect India’s sovereignty and integrity. He also highlighted the efforts of seven Indian delegations, comprising MPs from all parties, who are traveling the world to expose Pakistan’s true face and garner international support.

    Remembering the Victims

Throughout his speech, Modi expressed his condolences and solidarity with the families of the victims of the Pulwama attack, emphasizing the brutality of the act and the need for justice.
