The victim’s body was discovered near a temple, prompting the police to be alerted around 5.30 pm. Initially, there were no major visible injuries, leading the police to suspect a natural death. However, later information revealed that the man had been physically assaulted during the match.

A post-mortem conducted at Wenlock District Hospital confirmed that the victim died from internal bleeding and shock caused by repeated blows to his back. Investigators also documented injuries on his limbs, back, buttocks, and genitals, reportedly inflicted with wooden logs.
