Major Fire Engulfs Croma Showroom in Mumbai’s Bandra

Bandra Blaze: Croma Showroom Gutted in Early Morning Fire
A major fire broke out in the early hours of Tuesday, ripping through a Croma electronics showroom in Bandra West, Mumbai. The blaze, which began around 4:10 am, quickly escalated to a Level III fire, the highest severity, and required the assistance of 12 fire engines and a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
The fire primarily affected the basement of the Croma showroom located in Link Square Mall, a three-storey commercial complex on Linking Road. Thick smoke billowed throughout the building, making visibility extremely difficult for firefighters.
Fortunately, there are no immediate reports of any injuries. Fire officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Multiple Agencies Respond to the Emergency
The incident brought a large response from various agencies, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, Mumbai Police, Adani Electricity, the Public Works Department (PWD), and local ward staff. Senior fire officials, equipped with specialized equipment like breathing apparatus vans and a rescue van, led the firefighting operation.
Second Major Fire in Two Days
This incident marks the second major fire in Mumbai within a short span of two days. On Sunday, a significant fire erupted at a building housing the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Ballard Estate. That fire was also contained to a specific floor, thankfully with no reported injuries.
