LG Orders Pakistani Nationals to Leave Jammu and Kashmir
The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, held a meeting with all district commissioners (DCs) and senior superintendent of police (SSPs) to discuss the exit of Pakistani nationals from the region.
The Home Ministry recently announced that all valid visas issued to Pakistani nationals will be revoked, except for medical, long-term, diplomatic, and official visas. These special visas will be valid until a specific date.
The revocation of most visas takes effect on April 27, 2025, with medical visas being valid until April 29, 2025. The LG instructed the officials to ensure that all Pakistani nationals leave J&K by this deadline.
Sinha also reminded the officials to follow the security measures and procedures discussed in a previous meeting. He shared details of the meeting on X, emphasizing the importance of Pakistani nationals leaving the region by the specified date.
