Lawyer’s Road Rage Leads to Attack, Bail Denied by Delhi High Court
A Delhi lawyer’s alleged road rage incident has landed him in hot water, with the Delhi High Court denying him anticipatory bail. The court’s decision comes after a Sessions Court previously rejected his plea.
The Allegations
According to an FIR filed in the case, the lawyer and his politician friend got angry at a man for blocking the road. They are accused of dragging the victim to their house and severely beating him with their fists and a lathi, leaving him with multiple injuries. The victim also alleged that the lawyer threatened to have him falsely arrested.
The Legal Battle
The lawyer sought pre-arrest bail from the High Court after his anticipatory bail application was dismissed by the Sessions Court. However, the High Court, considering the seriousness of the allegations, decided against granting him bail.
