J&K Authorities Demolish Homes of Terrorists Involved in Pahalgam Attack

Stern Message Against Terrorism
In a strong move against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have demolished the houses of three terrorists involved in the recent Pahalgam attack. The demolition took place in the early hours of Thursday and Friday, targeting the homes of Adil Hussain Thoker, Asif Sheikh, and Ahsan Sheikh, located in Bijbehara, Awantipora, and Pulwama respectively.
The action was taken to send a clear message to those who support or engage in terrorism. Officials ensured that no family members were present in the houses before the controlled demolition, which was carried out with precision to avoid damage to nearby properties. This underscores the administration’s commitment to targeting the terrorists while minimizing harm to innocent civilians.
According to government officials, this is part of a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism. They emphasized that joining terrorist ranks comes with a heavy price, not only for the individual but also for their families. Families of terrorists face potential loss of government benefits and facilities, including passports, government jobs, and police clearances.
The government official added that there could be more such demolitions in the future to deter future acts of terrorism.
Details of the Pahalgam Attack and the Terrorists
The Pahalgam attack, which involved hardcore Pakistani terrorists and a local accomplice, highlights the ongoing security challenge in the region. Adil, who had received training in Pakistan, is believed to have played a crucial role in guiding and arranging logistics for the attack. Asif, known for his familiarity with the local terrain, was recruited by the Pakistani terrorists, while Ahsan arranged logistical support for the attack.
This is not the first instance of such a demolition. A few months ago, the house of another local terrorist, Haroon Ganai, who was recruited by Pakistan’s ISI, was also demolished. Reports suggest that his family contacted him after the demolition, expressing their anger and disappointment over his actions.
