India Sends Strong Warning to Pakistan

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has issued a stern warning to Pakistan, stating that any military attacks on India will be met with a ‘very firm’ response. He made these remarks during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in New Delhi.

Response to Pahalgam Terror Attack

Jaishankar’s statement comes after India conducted airstrikes on Wednesday targeting ‘cross-border’ terror infrastructure in response to the ‘barbaric’ Pahalgam terror attack. He emphasized that India’s response was ‘targeted and measured’ but made it clear that they are prepared to defend themselves.

While India has no intention of escalating the situation, Jaishankar left no room for doubt about India’s resolve: ‘If there are military attacks on us, there should be no doubt that it will be met with a very very firm response,’ he stated.

Iran Update

The Iranian Foreign Minister arrived in New Delhi last night on a scheduled visit amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. Jaishankar highlighted the importance of Iran, as a neighbour and close partner, having a clear understanding of the current situation.
