India Responds with ‘Operation Sindoor’ to Pahalgam Terror Attack

In the wake of the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, India has launched a decisive military operation, ‘Operation Sindoor’, against suspected terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

Indian Ambassador to the U.S., Vinay Kwatra, speaking to CNN on May 8, 2025, underscored India’s firm stance against terrorism. He stated unequivocally that “India is at war with the terrorists” and that the nation would hold those responsible for the horrific attack accountable.

Terrorists ‘Lowlifes, Subhuman Monsters’

Mr. Kwatra condemned the perpetrators as “lowlifes, subhuman monsters,” emphasizing that no nation would tolerate such acts. He highlighted that India’s response was swift and precise, targeting terrorist infrastructure and facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

The attack, claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a front for the UN-proscribed Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, targeted innocent civilians, with four terrorists killing 26 people, including a Nepali national, based on their religion. Mr. Kwatra stated that these terrorists killed “all non-Muslims” during the attack.
