Government Asks Media to Hold Back on Live Coverage of Military Operations

The Indian government is asking news channels to stop showing live coverage of military operations and the movement of security forces. They say this is important for national security and to make sure sensitive information doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting put out a statement on Saturday urging all media platforms, news agencies, and even people on social media to be extra careful about what they report on when it comes to defense and security matters. They want everyone to stick to the rules and laws already in place.
The government’s concern is that live coverage could accidentally help out enemies by giving them real-time information about troop movements or operations.
