Drone Debris Found in India After Pakistan’s Missile Attacks Thwarted

Missile Debris Found Across India After Failed Pakistani Attacks
India has intercepted several Pakistani drones and missiles in recent days, with debris being found scattered across several states, including Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Jammu. This comes amid heightened tensions along the India-Pakistan border.
Pakistani Missile Intercepted Over Sirsa
According to government sources, Pakistan launched a Fatah-2 missile towards New Delhi on Wednesday night, which was intercepted over Sirsa in Haryana. Debris from the missile was found in the state, signifying the missile’s trajectory and India’s successful interception.
Drone Debris Found in Multiple Locations
Besides the missile, debris from Pakistani drones was also found in several locations across India.
- Jalandhar: Debris was recovered following an explosion in Kanganiwal village, with locals reporting a red flash and a loud boom.
- Jaisalmer: Missile debris, potentially from a drone, was found near Mangliyo Ki Dhani, causing a loud explosion and a white residue on the ground.
- Bathinda: Missile debris was discovered near Beed Talab, prompting an announcement at a local Gurdwara for people to stay indoors.
- Amritsar: Debris was found in Amritsar on Thursday, triggering panic and reports of explosions as India’s air defense system neutralized Pakistani missiles and drones. Authorities believe the debris might be linked to an attempt to intercept a Chinese-designed rocket artillery system.
- Hoshiarpur: A missile was found in the Kamahi Devi region, prompting a police response.
Drone Incursions and Heightened Tensions
Pakistani drones were reportedly sighted at 26 locations along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan, including major cities like Baramulla, Srinagar, Jammu, and Ferozpur. In Ferozpur, an armed drone reportedly targeted a civilian area, injuring a local family.
Indian authorities have stated that these drone incursions and missile launches are a matter of grave concern and represent a continued escalation by Pakistan.
India’s Air Defense Systems
India has a robust network of advanced air defense systems, including the S-400 Triumf system, Akash-NG missiles, and the Barak 8 system, developed in collaboration with Israel, which can effectively defend against medium to long-range threats.
Continued Monitoring and Response
India continues to closely monitor the situation along the border and remains prepared to respond to any further provocations from Pakistan.
