Delhi Airport Running Smoothly Despite Longer Security Checks

Delhi Airport Reassures Normal Operations
Despite heightened security measures and some airspace restrictions, Delhi International Airport has confirmed that its operations are running smoothly. Passengers can expect normal service, though security checks might take a bit longer than usual.
Airline Updates Key for Smooth Travel
The airport urges travelers to stay informed by checking for updates from their airlines and to be prepared for potential delays at security checkpoints. Arriving early is recommended to ensure a hassle-free experience.
Officials also emphasize the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information and avoiding the spread of unverified content.
Temporary Closures Impacting Other Airports
Earlier this week, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) announced the temporary closure of 32 airports across Northern and Western India. This closure, effective from May 9th to May 14th, 2025, is due to operational reasons.
The list of affected airports includes several major cities like Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jammu, Jodhpur, and Srinagar. The temporary closures are expected to impact flight schedules in these regions.
The AAI and relevant aviation authorities have issued Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) to inform airlines and the public about the temporary closures.
