Deadly Terror Attack Strikes Pahalgam, Kashmir, Killing 26
A terrifying attack in the picturesque Pahalgam region of Kashmir has left at least 26 people dead, including two foreign tourists. The attack unfolded on Tuesday afternoon when terrorists emerged from the forests surrounding the popular Baisaran meadows, opening fire on unsuspecting visitors.
Authorities say the death toll could rise, as several others were critically injured. While no official casualty figures have been released, sources confirm the tragic loss of life.
This attack has sent shockwaves through the region and beyond. In response, the Indian government has ordered 191 Pakistani nationals visiting India to return home within 48 hours. Similarly, 287 Indian citizens visiting Pakistan have also been asked to come back.
The attack coincides with a visit by U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance to India. Vance expressed his condolences on X, stating, “Our thoughts and prayers are with them as they mourn this horrific attack.”
The Resistance Front, a militant group, has denied involvement in the attack but has blamed Indian intelligence for earlier claims linking them to the incident.
