Crackdown in Kashmir: 10 Terrorists’ Homes Razed After Deadly Pahalgam Attack

A Wave of Retaliation Following a Brutal Attack
In the aftermath of a horrific terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 25 tourists and a local, Indian security forces have taken swift and decisive action. Over the past six days, they have demolished the homes of 10 suspected terrorists as part of a crackdown aimed at dismantling the terror ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
The attack, which took place at Baisaran meadow, sent shockwaves across the nation. Survivors reported that the terrorists targeted the tourists based on their religion, asking them their faith before opening fire. This brutal act of violence has sparked widespread anger and grief.
Targeting Key Figures
Among those whose homes have been razed are members of various terrorist groups, including Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and The Resistance Front. Security officials have identified some of these individuals as key players in the Pahalgam attack and other anti-national activities.
Ahsan ul Haq, for instance, is accused of receiving training in Pakistan and recently infiltrating the valley. Lashkar commander Shahid Ahmad Kuttay has been linked to numerous anti-national acts, while Zakir Ahmad Ganie was under surveillance for alleged involvement in several terror-related incidents. Farooq Ahmad Tedwa, according to officials, has been operating from Pakistan.
National Outrage and Diplomatic Fallout
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has vowed to identify, track, and punish every terrorist involved in the attack and their supporters. He addressed the nation, expressing his solidarity with the bereaved families and emphasizing that the attack was not just on tourists but on India’s very soul.
In response to the attack, India has taken a number of diplomatic steps against Pakistan, including suspending visa services for Pakistani nationals and putting the Indus Water Treaty on hold. Pakistan, in turn, has threatened to suspend the Simla Agreement, which governs the ceasefire line between the two countries.
