Border Battle: India Repels Pakistan’s Air Raids and Artillery Strikes

Border Tensions Flare Up
Tensions have dramatically escalated along the India-Pakistan border, with Pakistan launching both artillery shelling and air raids on Indian territory. This comes just a day after India conducted airstrikes targeting suspected terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
A Swarm of Attacks
On Thursday evening, Pakistani forces bombarded at least a dozen locations in the Jammu region, including the strategically important airstrip. The attacks involved a barrage of artillery fire and drone strikes, targeting areas such as Samba, RS Pura, Arnia, Akhnoor, and nearby villages.
India’s Swift Response
India swiftly retaliated, deploying its advanced S-400 air defense system to intercept eight missiles launched by Pakistan. Sources confirmed that all missiles were successfully neutralized before reaching their targets, preventing any damage or casualties.
In a show of force, India also activated air raid sirens across Jammu Division, particularly in Akhnoor and Kishtwar, where a complete blackout was enforced. To bolster security, internet and electricity services were temporarily suspended in Jammu city.
Beyond Jammu
Reports also indicate artillery shelling targeting Kupwara and Udhampur in Indian-administered Kashmir, as well as strikes aimed at the air base in Pathankot. These attacks underscore the escalating tensions and the potential for further conflict in the region.
