BJP Minister Dodges Resignation Despite Controversy

BJP Stands By Controversial Minister
After a series of late-night meetings with top party leaders, the BJP seems prepared to back Madhya Pradesh Tribal Affairs Minister Vijay Shah, despite criticism over his remarks about Colonel Sofiya Qureshi. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has indicated that Shah won’t be resigning from his cabinet position.
Yadav, speaking in Bhopal, stated that the government respects the court’s decision and will continue to follow its orders. He then turned his attention to the opposition Congress, saying, “Congress should demand the resignation of Siddaramaiah. Most Congress ministers have cases against them. The Congress can only make statements.” He went on to question the Congress’s credibility on the issue, pointing to their past support of AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, who served as Chief Minister before facing legal troubles.
This situation highlights the ongoing tension between the BJP and Congress in Madhya Pradesh, with both parties using the controversy to attack each other.
