Air India Cancels Flights to 8 Cities Today

Air India Halts Flights to 8 Locations Due to Safety Concerns
Air India has announced the cancellation of all inbound and outbound flights to eight cities across India for Tuesday, May 13th. The affected locations are Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh, and Rajkot.
The decision comes after authorities issued a notification regarding the reopening of these airports. While Air India was initially planning to resume operations, the airline has cited safety concerns as the primary reason for the cancellations.
In a statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Air India stated, "In view of the latest developments and keeping your safety in mind, flights to and from Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot are cancelled for Tuesday, 13th May."
Air India assured passengers that they are closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates.
Indigo Also Cancels Flights
This follows similar cancellations by IndiGo, which also announced the suspension of flights to and from six cities: Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar, and Rajkot, for the same day.
Passenger Disruption and Uncertainty
These cancellations are likely to cause significant disruption for passengers traveling to and from these regions. Many may be left stranded, with their travel plans thrown into uncertainty.
