AIMIM Chief Owaisi Calls Out Pakistan for Using Fake Images in ‘Operation Bunyan’

Owaisi’s Sharp Criticism of Pakistan’s Claims
AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi took a strong stance against Pakistan, mocking their recent claims about a military operation dubbed ‘Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos’. He pointed out that an image used to commemorate the operation was actually from a 2019 Chinese rocket artillery drill, calling it a blatant attempt to mislead.
‘Nakal Karne Ke Liye Akal Chahiye’
Speaking to the Indian diaspora in Kuwait, Owaisi delivered a scathing critique, saying, “Yesterday, the Pakistani Army chief gifted a photo to the Pakistani PM Shehbaz Sharif…these stupid jokers want to compete with India, they had given a photograph of a 2019 Chinese Army drill claiming it is a victory over India. This is what Pakistan indulges in… ‘Nakal karne ke liye akal chahiye’…inke pass akal bhi nahi hai’…whatever Pakistan is saying, do not take even with a pinch of salt.”
Background of the Controversy
The controversy erupted after an image went viral showing Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and newly-appointed Field Marshal Gen Asim Munir holding a photo of the alleged ‘Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos’. Netizens quickly identified the image as a stock photo from a Chinese military exercise in 2019, sparking widespread criticism and ridicule.
India’s Counter-Propaganda Efforts
This incident comes at a time when India’s government has been actively countering Pakistani propaganda, particularly regarding Operation Sindoor. Operation Sindoor involved targeted strikes by Indian armed forces on nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack in April, which claimed the lives of 26 people.
