7 Terrorists Killed in India as Border Security Foils Infiltration Attempt

India Thwarts Terrorist Infiltration, Kills 7 in Samba Sector
Indian border security forces successfully foiled a terrorist infiltration attempt from Pakistan in the Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir, killing seven terrorists in the process. This incident comes amidst heightened tensions between the two nations.
Pakistani Rangers Providing Cover Fire
The Border Security Force (BSF) revealed that the Pakistani Rangers provided covering fire for the infiltrators as they attempted to cross the border from the Dhandhar post. This support highlights Pakistan’s continued involvement in sponsoring terrorism.
The BSF detected the group of terrorists during the night of May 8th and 9th using its surveillance grid. Alert troops immediately neutralized the infiltration bid, killing at least seven terrorists.
India Responds to Pakistani Aggression
The BSF shared a video showing the destruction of the Pakistani military post at Dhandhar, a consequence of India’s swift military response. This incident is just the latest in a series of Pakistani attempts to infiltrate India.
Recent weeks have seen a surge in Pakistani aggression, including failed aerial strikes targeting military bases and cities in India. These strikes focused on installations in Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur, as well as cities in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Punjab. However, all Pakistani missiles and drones were successfully neutralized by Indian forces.
Pakistan responded with renewed artillery fire on Indian posts and villages near the border and the Line of Control. Indian troops retaliated, destroying several Pakistani Army posts.
Heightened Security Measures
In anticipation of further attacks, civil administrations enforced a blackout in cities near the border, including Jammu, Srinagar, and various locations in Punjab and Rajasthan. Even in Chandigarh, air sirens blared, warning residents of a potential attack and urging them to stay indoors.
As a precautionary measure, at least 24 airports were temporarily closed to ensure the safety of travelers.
