Hyundai Creta Leads Sales, But Other Models See Declines in April 2025

Hyundai Creta Takes the Crown, But Overall Sales Dip
The Hyundai Creta compact SUV continues to be a hot seller in India, leading the way in April 2025 with 17,016 units sold. This marks a 10% year-over-year growth for the popular SUV. However, overall sales for Hyundai dipped in April, placing them fourth among automakers in India.
Sales Slip for Hyundai
Hyundai saw a 12% year-over-year decline in sales, totaling 44,374 units. This drop is attributed to a decrease in demand for most of their models, except for the Creta. Month-over-month, sales also saw a 14% decrease compared to March 2025.
Models Seeing the Blues
While the Creta soared, other Hyundai models experienced sales slumps. The Venue, Exter, Xcent, Grand i10, and i20 all saw significant declines in sales compared to April 2024. The Alcazar and Verna also saw double-digit drops, while the Tucson and Ioniq 5 faced even steeper declines.
Looking Ahead
The sales figures for April 2025 paint a mixed picture for Hyundai. The Creta remains a strong performer, but the company will need to address the declining sales of its other models to regain market share.
