ITR Filing Deadline Extended: Get Ready for September 15

Originally set for July 31, 2025, the new deadline is now September 15, 2025. This extra time is being provided to give everyone a smoother filing experience.

According to the Income Tax department, the extension is due to significant revisions made to the ITR forms, the ongoing development of the tax filing system, and the need to accurately reflect TDS credits.
