Akshaya Tritiya, a significant festival celebrated across India, is believed to be an auspicious day for new beginnings, especially when it comes to investments in gold. This year, Akshaya Tritiya falls on April 30, 2025, and gold prices are hitting record highs.
Gold’s Allure
Gold is seen as a safe haven investment, offering security and potential returns. In fact, a study by HDFC Securities revealed that over the past decade, gold prices have skyrocketed by over ₹68,500 per 10 grams. Ventura Securities reports that between Akshaya Tritiya 2024 and 2025 alone, gold prices surged by a whopping 30%, reaching ₹95,000-96,000 per 10 grams.
Despite the High Price, Demand Remains Strong
Experts predict that these record-high prices won’t deter buyers this Akshaya Tritiya. Gold has already touched an all-time high of ₹1 lakh per 10 grams earlier, driven by factors like US President Donald Trump’s trade war. However, prices later fell due to pressure from the US dollar and hopes for a trade resolution between the US and China.
Akshaya Tritiya 2025: Gold Prices Today
On this auspicious Akshaya Tritiya, MCX gold prices dipped to ₹95,198 per 10 grams at 9 am, down ₹394 per 10 grams. MCX silver prices also plummeted by ₹728 per kg, settling at ₹96,134 per kg.
