Wamiqa Gabbi’s Hilarious First Encounter with Shah Rukh Khan

A Quirky First Meeting
Wamiqa Gabbi, who is gaining recognition for her work in Punjabi films and series like ‘Modern Love Mumbai,’ recently had an interesting experience meeting Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan. In a recent interview with Mashable India, Gabbi shared a funny anecdote about their first encounter during the muhurat of Atlee’s film ‘Baby John,’ where she stars alongside Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh.
From Jawan to Baby John
Shah Rukh Khan, who was starring in Atlee’s previous Bollywood project, ‘Jawan,’ made a special appearance at the ‘Baby John’ muhurat. This marked Gabbi’s first official meeting with the iconic actor.
A Brotherly Joke Goes Awry
Gabbi recalled how she and her brother Hardik were anticipating a conversation with Shah Rukh Khan. They started joking about what she should say to him. ‘My brother joked, ‘Nas kaat de’ (meaning ‘I’ll cut your nose’),’ Gabbi shared, laughing. ‘We were laughing talking all this.’
A Quiet Departure
However, when Shah Rukh Khan arrived, the atmosphere became electric. Everyone was captivated by his presence. Gabbi’s brother and she were at the back, still discussing their potential conversation. To their surprise, Shah Rukh Khan left quietly after just 15 minutes without speaking to Gabbi.
Gabbi shared that there was a ‘pin-drop silence’ on the sets after he left, making the whole experience even more memorable.
