Suniel Shetty: ‘Our next holiday should be in Kashmir’

Actor Suniel Shetty has urged people to visit Kashmir on their next holiday, in a show of solidarity after a recent terror attack in Pahalgam.

Speaking at the Lata Deenanath Mageshkar Award 2025 ceremony, Shetty stressed that Kashmir belongs to India and that the country should not be intimidated by acts of violence. He called for unity and encouraged people to not give in to fear.

“As citizens, we have to decide that our next holiday will be in Kashmir and nowhere else,” Shetty said. “We have to show them that we are not scared and there is no fear.”

Shetty even went so far as to say he’d contacted authorities, offering to visit Kashmir as a tourist or for filming purposes, should they need him there.

The Pahalgam attack, which took place on April 22nd, tragically killed 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, with several others injured. The attack has understandably shaken the nation, prompting the Central government to hold an all-party meeting to discuss security and formulate a response.
