Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is making headlines, but not for the reasons the showrunners might have hoped. While the show currently stars Param Singh, Vaibhavi Hankare, and Sanam Johar, viewers are nostalgic for the previous storyline featuring Hitesh Bharadwaj and Bhavika Sharma as Savi and Rajat. Their chemistry was so popular that fans have been clamoring for their return even after the new storyline featuring Neil, Teju, and Ruturaj began.

Param Singh Reacts to the Backlash

Param Singh, who plays Neil in the show, recently spoke to BollywoodLife about the audience’s continued love for Savi and Rajat. He acknowledged that viewers have strong feelings about the original storyline ending and that it’s perfectly fine for them to voice their opinions. He said, ‘It’s understandable that viewers have strong feelings about the Savi-Rajat storyline ending, and it’s their right to blame or comment. Art, by its very nature is subjective, and being surrounded by judgements is a part of it. It’s natural for audiences to have their favorite characters and storylines, and hence form perceptions about new developments and actors, it’s their right somewhere. I respect their inputs and can only focus on giving the show my best.’

Despite the nostalgia for the previous storyline, Param also expressed gratitude for the love he’s received for his portrayal of Dr. Neil. He shared, ‘It’s truly been a special journey playing Neil. This character has offered me a unique set of challenges and experiences, unlike anything I’ve done before. I enjoy the freshness and novelty of this role and even after three months, I find myself exploring the nuances of his behavior and how he navigates through life. The vulnerability that Neil portrays on screen is something I enjoy delving into.’
