In a surprising turn of events, the legal team representing Akshay Kumar’s production house, Cape of Good Films, has filed a lawsuit against actor Paresh Rawal for abruptly withdrawing from the highly anticipated ‘Hera Pheri 3’.

According to a statement released by Parinam Law Associates, the legal counsel representing Cape of Good Films, Rawal had publicly confirmed his participation in the film on January 30, 2025, and formally agreed to the terms on March 27, 2025, even receiving an advance payment of Rs 11,00,000. Cape of Good Films claims to have incurred substantial production and promotional costs based on Rawal’s commitment.
The production house alleges that Rawal’s abrupt withdrawal, citing vague creative differences, caused significant financial losses, disrupted the shooting schedule, and jeopardized the momentum of the film. They are demanding damages of Rs 25 crores from Rawal.
Production House Seeks Injunctive Relief
The legal team emphasized that Cape of Good Films has the right to seek injunctive relief and hold Rawal personally liable for any harm caused to co-actors, the director, and third parties involved in the project due to his sudden and unilateral withdrawal.

Director Priyadarshan recently revealed that while he personally stands to lose nothing, Akshay Kumar has invested his own money in ‘Hera Pheri 3’. Suniel Shetty, another lead actor in the film, expressed his shock at the situation, stating that it was a crisis as they had already begun shooting.
