Arijit Singh Calls Off Concert

Popular singer Arijit Singh has cancelled his upcoming concert in Chennai, scheduled for this Sunday, April 27th, following the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

The attack, which occurred on April 22nd, claimed the lives of 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen, leaving many others injured. It’s considered one of the deadliest terror attacks in the region.

Singh announced the cancellation on his Instagram Stories, re-sharing a post from the event organizers. The post states that the decision was made to show support for the victims and their families.

Refunds for Ticket Holders

The organizers also confirmed that all ticket holders will receive full refunds, which will be automatically returned to their original payment method. A message of thanks for understanding was also included in the post.

Other Industry Reactions

This act of solidarity isn’t an isolated one. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander also postponed the ticket sales for his Bengaluru concert due to the attack. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families on Instagram, stating that the new ticket sale date will be announced soon.

Bollywood celebrities have widely condemned the attack and expressed their grief and anger on social media.
