Apoorva Mukhija’s Comeback Video Soars to 10 Million Views

YouTuber Apoorva Mukhija, known online as The Rebel Kid, is celebrating a major milestone! Her comeback video, ‘Till I Say It Is,’ has surpassed 10 million views, marking her return to the spotlight after the controversy surrounding the ‘India’s Got Talent’ episode she appeared in.

Apoorva took a moment to express her gratitude to her biggest supporter – her mother – in a heartwarming Instagram post.

A Mother’s Love and Support

Sharing a screenshot of a congratulatory WhatsApp message from her mom, Apoorva wrote, “My mom is the best thing that God has given me…I will never be able to say ki meri kismat kharab hai (I am unlucky) because I really, really won the lottery with my mom.” She went on to describe how her mother religiously checks her YouTube channel for updates, always celebrating her achievements.

Apoorva also shared a teaser for an upcoming chat show she filmed just 15 days after the controversy. “Shot this in March (15 days after the entire thing happened) and I was so angry and emo in this podcast,” she revealed. She expressed her gratitude to the host for providing her a platform to share her side of the story and for her unwavering support during a difficult time.

Apoorva’s Comeback to Instagram

After facing intense online bullying and deleting all of her Instagram posts, Apoorva made a powerful return to the platform earlier this month. In an emotional post, she shared the harrowing details of the online harassment she endured, including threats of violence.

Apoorva revealed that her manager advised her not to return home due to safety concerns, as many people knew her address. She also spoke about the emotional toll the experience took, especially the dehumanizing treatment from paparazzi when she went to the police to file a report.

Despite the ordeal, Apoorva remains strong and dedicated to using her platform for good. She announced that the earnings from her comeback video will be donated to an NGO that supports victims of acid attacks, rape, and domestic violence.

Apoorva Mukhija and the ‘India’s Got Talent’ Controversy

Apoorva was one of the comedians featured in the controversial episode of ‘India’s Got Talent’ in January. The episode sparked widespread criticism after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia made inflammatory comments about parents and sex. While Allahbadia faced significant backlash, a clip of Apoorva also drew negative reactions from social media users.

The show’s creator, Samay Raina, subsequently deleted all episodes of the show. Both Allahbadia, Raina, Apoorva, and others involved are currently facing multiple FIRs for their comments on the show.
