Adarsh Gourav’s ‘Superboys Of Malegaon’ – A Box Office Flop

Adarsh Gourav’s ‘Superboys Of Malegaon’ Fails to Captivate Audiences at Box Office
Reema Kagti’s latest film, ‘Superboys Of Malegaon’, starring Adarsh Gourav, has unfortunately fallen short at the box office. Despite opening to positive reviews, the coming-of-age drama, which tells the story of real-life malegaon superheroes, struggled to draw crowds to theaters.
The film faced stiff competition upon its release on February 28, 2025, clashing with Sohum Shah’s ‘Crazxy’. It debuted with the lowest opening of the year in Bollywood, collecting only 50 lakhs on its first day. While critics praised the film, the lack of big-name stars seemed to deter audiences.
In its entire theatrical run, ‘Superboys Of Malegaon’ managed to earn a modest 5.32 crore net (approximately 6.27 crore gross). This falls significantly short of its reported 20 crore budget, resulting in a disappointing 26.6% recovery for the producers.
The film’s overseas performance was also underwhelming, with a total gross of 1.50 crore. Combined with its domestic earnings, ‘Superboys Of Malegaon’ concluded its theatrical run with a worldwide gross of 7.42 crore.
Now available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video since April 25, 2025, the film’s future success hinges on its performance in the digital realm.
