Charges Dropped in Sexual Harassment Case Against Brij Bhushan

A Delhi court has closed the case against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the former chief of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), in a sexual harassment case filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The court accepted the police closure report, effectively dropping all charges against Singh.

This decision comes after a private hearing on August 1, 2023, where a ‘minor’ who had accused Singh of sexual harassment told the judge that she was satisfied with the Delhi Police’s investigation and did not oppose the closure report.
