Kannappa: Epic Mythology Comes to Life

The countdown is on for Kannappa, one of the most anticipated mythological epics of 2025. Starring Vishnu Manchu in the titular role, this big-budget film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including Prabhas, Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, and Kajal Aggarwal. Set for a worldwide theatrical release on June 27, 2025, in multiple Indian languages, Kannappa promises to be a visual and spiritual spectacle.

Runtime and Prabhas’ Role

Recently, Vishnu Manchu shared exciting updates about the film’s final cut. He revealed that Kannappa clocks in at a substantial 3 hours and 10 minutes. Interestingly, even Prabhas’ scenes were trimmed during editing to maintain a brisk pace. Despite this, Prabhas’s character, a divine figure, plays a crucial role in Kannappa’s transformation from an atheist to a seeker of enlightenment. While his screen time is limited to 30 minutes, it includes impactful sequences with Vishnu Manchu and Mohan Babu.

Cameos That Pack a Punch

Another highlight is Mohanlal’s cameo, which appears for just 15 minutes but is expected to deliver powerful emotional weight to the story. These cameos, while brief, are anticipated to add depth and richness to the film’s spiritual and cinematic experience.

Music to Soothe the Soul

Adding to the anticipation, the team has announced the release of the next track, “Sri-Kala-Hasti,” on May 28, 2025. Sung by Vishnu Manchu’s daughters, Ariaana Manchu and Viviana Manchu, the song is composed by Stephen Devassy, known for his evocative music.

Given the film’s emotional and devotional tone, “Sri-Kala-Hasti” is expected to resonate deeply with audiences.

A Star-Studded Affair

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa boasts an impressive cast, including Akshay Kumar, Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Preity Mukhundhan, and more. Backed by 24 Frames Factory and Ava Entertainment, this pan-Indian mythological film is one of the most ambitious projects in recent years.

With its rich visuals, powerful storyline, and stellar cast, Kannappa is poised to be a landmark release in Tollywood’s 2025 calendar. Fans of Prabhas, Vishnu Manchu, and mythological epics are eagerly awaiting this spiritual saga.
