A Dream Flight Turns Into Disaster
Daniel Williams, a former drummer for the metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada, and Dave Shapiro, a music agent known for his work with Sum 41, Hanson, Jefferson Starship, and other artists, were on the flight from New Jersey to San Diego.
Shapiro, who also owned an aviation business, was piloting the plane. Williams excitedly shared photos of their trip on Instagram, posting a picture of the Cessna on the tarmac and two selfies of himself in the co-pilot’s seat. “Here we goooooo,” he wrote.
The flight ended in tragedy when the plane collided with power lines and crashed as it prepared to land in thick fog.
